Review
We held our Christmas Lunch here in December 2009 and we had a really good time.
This place is very different to a regular bowling centre. It's a fully fledged restaurant and bar with bowling lanes too.
This is a great place for a group night out - for drinks, dinner and a bit of bowling in that order. Having said that the bowling lanes themselves appear to be in good condition and well maintained.
If you just want to bowl then bear in mind that this venue is probably more expensive and has less capacity for bowling than other bowling alleys.
By Public Transport
Head for Bayswater tube station (Circle Line) or Queensway (Central
Line).
When you come out of either tube station turn left up Queensway towards
Whiteleys Shopping Centre.
All Star Lanes is in the basement of Whiteleys with the entrance in Porchester Gardens.
By Road
Head for Queensway which is a turning off the Bayswater Road on the north side of Kensington Gardens/Hyde Park. All Star Lanes is in the basement of Whiteleys Shopping Centre so the easiest place to park is in the car park on the top floor of Whiteleys - the entrance is in Redan Place on the north side of the building.
If you have parked in the Whiteleys car park go down to the ground floor at the South End of the building (towards the right as you exit the car park). Walk out in to the street and turn immediately right to walk into All Star Lanes and back into their part of the building.
Parking is also available in nearby side streets. Print off the map referenced below and bring it with you to help you find your way. Parking gets easier towards the west e.g. Pembridge Square. Be careful - the parking wardens are strict in this part of town and I have been towed away twice!
